Pediatric Grand Rounds

Primary Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) and University Health Care partner to bring you Primary Children’s Grand Rounds. Starting in September this program airs every Thursday morning from 8 AM to 9 AM ending in May. For a detailed schedule go to the PCMC Grand Rounds website.

Target Audience: Hospital and community-based pediatricians and other physicians and practitioners who care for children of any age.

CME Credits

Primary Children's Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians may claim credit by watching the live presentation from a approved site or by watching remotely from a computer. In order to claim the credit, physicians must sign the roster at an approved site, or fill out the certification form for watching remotely from a computer. The certification form is listed below. 
 

How to participate

Option 1: Live Webstream - Outside Intermountain

Live webstreaming from OUTSIDE Intermountain Healthcare's network from the public Internet:

  1. Open mms://mediahost.ihc.com/pcmc
  2. Windows Media Player 9 or 10 is required (Version 11 will not work).
  3. To get technical support email grandrounds@imail.org or call 801.662.3530 (Neil Larson);

Option 2: Live Webstream - Inside Intermountain

Live webstreaming from INSIDE Intermountain Healthcare's network from an Intermountain
Healthcare computer:

  1. Open mms://media.co.ihc.com/pcmc
  2. Windows Media Player 9 or 10 is required. (Version 11 will not work).

Option 3: Intermountain Healthcare Videoconference - Polycom

Connections using videoconferencing equipment from INSIDE Intermountain Healthcare's network using the Polycom video system:

Enter the conference ID 73351 at the "Place A Call" screen in your video-conferencing system. Use this same code to connect each week.

Option 4: University of Utah Telehealth Network (UTN) Videoconference

Connections using videoconferencing equipment from OUTSIDE Intermountain Healthcare's network using the Polycom or using either videoconferencing systems.

Option 5: Live Webstreaming From Public Internet (UTN)

An additional option for live webstreaming is available using the public internet. This option may not be available to all computer types and video players:

  1. Open http://codian.utahtelehealth.net/
  2. Type in 102 for the Recording ID.
  3. Leave the PIN blank.
  4. Select your preferred video player and bandwidth.
  5. Click "Stream this Recording."

If the video screen remains blank, click the link to download the necessary software to view the stream. The link is at the bottom of the screen. You need administrator rights to install software. If you are unable to install this software, contact your computer support person.

Click "Run" and follow the on-screen directions to install this software. Close your browser and return to step 1. You need not reboot your machine.
